Some things are just too big to shoulder yourself. MOFAS wants you to know you don’t have to. We are here for families, individuals and caregivers — helping to guide and support you through the FASD journey in many different ways. Click any of the below support options for more information.
Virtual Family Center (VFC)
The VFC is a safe and supportive online gathering place for families to make meaningful connections, find helpful information and advice, and talk about the joys and struggles of life with FASD with others who understand. And it’s the only site 100% for supporting the FASD community in Minnesota. It’s private. It’s easy to use. And it’s always been “for parents, by parents”. CLICK HERE>>>
Family Resource Coordinators (FRCs)
Each FRC has their own FASD story and journey, and knows many of the challenges that you may be facing. Their goal is to reach out to families in their region with encouragement and provide FASD support, to connect those impacted through social and educational activities and help be the voice for the FASD community by coordinating advocates around public policy matters. Family Retreats
Being around other families that understand is important. So, several times each year, MOFAS sponsors family retreats where families come together in a fun, relaxed environment to connect. All activities throughout the weekend are optional so each family can tailor the retreat to their own needs. CLICK HERE>>>
Support Groups
Support groups provide emotional support. They allow people to share information and discuss common issues. But more importantly, support groups provide the feeling that you are not alone on this path. CLICK HERE>>>
Activities
Learning more about FASD and staying in touch with others on the FASD journey are important for you and your family. We have many fun and educational activities for families and children to bond with each other and others who understand. CLICK HERE>>>
Classes
We offer ongoing opportunities to learn about FASD and teach others to better understand your child. Educated caregivers make great advocates, and since you are your child’s most important advocate, we want to make sure you have those opportunities. CLICK HERE>>>
