MOFAS Position on FASD and the DSM

The absence of FASD in the DSM prevents an integrated/multidisciplinary approach with medical doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, speech/occupational therapists, probation/social workers and educational institutions. Furthermore, FASD in the DSM permits the education of medical and graduates students, including physicians, psychiatrists and psychologist to increase the awareness of the condition and its clinical presentation.
