An exciting educational opportunity is available to professionals in Minnesota who are interested in learning more about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). The Fetal Alcohol Diagnostic Program (FADP) in Duluth, Minnesota has develop a Guest Seminar program for community members and professionals who work with children that have been diagnosed with FASD or may be referred for diagnosis. This one day seminar will demystify FASD and the diagnostic methods in order to increase awareness and response to this challenge in our communities.

MOFAS, through the FASD Statewide Initiative, is offering scholarships for the Guest Seminar tuition ($250.00 for one day seminar). In return for this scholarship, MOFAS is asking recipients to return to their communities after the seminar and provide two in-services or mini trainings on the topic. All attendees will be provided with a “tool kit” for the presentations.

If you are interested in this scholarship opportunity, please contact MaryAnn Bernard at 218-340-6147 (phone) or email maryann@mofas.org.
