Who MOFAS Serves

MOFAS is the leading voice and resource in MN for the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) community in MN.  As we have seen, FASD has many faces, and the impact of prenatal  alcohol exposure touches us all. It impacts families, teachers, social workers, policy makers, probation officers, police officers, chemical dependency counselors and medical providers, and the list goes on. But most of all, it impacts the individual who gets up every day and struggle with the challenges of permanent brain damage caused by prenatal alcohol exposure.

Families & Individuals affected by FASD

MOFAS is devoted to empowering families to help manage their child's chronic disability. We also offer support for families dealing with Fetal Alcohol Specturm Disorders in MN in our Virtual Support Center.

Professionals

MOFAS provides FASD specific education and training to agencies, organizations and professions who provide services to individuals and families with or at risk of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders such as Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

Women of Childbearing Age

Most pregnant women are willing to do anything to ensure the health and well being of their unborn child. Many would not imagine drinking alcohol while pregnant, but some do not know the dangers of prenatal alcohol exposure.
