Medical

Medical and allied health professionals play a crucial role in advising pregnant patients not to drink, and recognizing patients with FAS/FASD to ensure they receive proper care and services.

What can health care providers do to address alcohol use during pregnancy?

Talk to your patients, especially women between 18-44 about alcohol use during pregnancy.  Give a clear, consistent message:  There is no safe time,  no safe kind and no safe amount of alcohol use during pregnancy.
