Institute on FASD Advancement
MOFAS is deeply committed to serving the FASD community, and will continue to provide leadership and influence advocacy efforts by establishing a center of excellence where we will be able to share our resources and most promising programs with others.
FASD Justice Project
The initial project within the Institute on FASD Advancement will focus on addressing the over-representation of FASD in the justice system.
MOFAS would lead initiatives to provide justice professionals training, technical assistance, and resources so they better understand the impact of FASD, can identify all forms of FASD, and can work more effectively with families and individuals impacted by an FASD.
Other areas of focus to be added to the Institute on FASD Advancement include FASD and Human Rights, FASD Diagnosis and Screening, and FASD and Chemically Dependent Women.
