Birth Mom Panel
MOFAS supports women who used alcohol and/or drugs during their pregnancy, and are now facing the challenges of parenting a child with an FASD. The Birth Mothers Network are women who serve as mentors to one another, and support one another in recovery. Collectively, they seek to overcome the stigmatism of alcoholism, addiction and FASD.
What is the Birth Mother Panel?
The Birth Mother Panel is a group of women who travel across Minnesota to share their stories, so other women know they are not alone. They help educate not only on the dangers of substance use and abuse during pregnancy, but also on what resources and support are available to other women and their children.
If you are interested in having the Birth Mother Panel come and speak to your organization, or would like to join the Birth Mother Panel, inquire here.
