Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders are caused when a woman drinks alcohol during pregnancy. Here in Minnesota, an estimated 7,061 babies are born every year with possible brain damage caused by prenatal alcohol exposure.
By "playing to prevent FASD," you are helping to ensure that future generations have the greatest chance to reach their greatest potential. Proceeds raised at this event will help ensure that all women will know that there is no safe level of alcohol during pregnancy. And that individuals and families impacted by prenatal alcohol exposure will be identified, supported and valued.
Thank you for making a difference with families, caregivers, educators, health care providers, legislators, and future generations --right now, right here in Minnesota.
